reaaaaaad.: [Inspired by True Events] The Vow.
helloemonster:
I literally cried watching The Vow. Not because of Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams, but because of Kim and Krickitt Carpenter. Yes, the real couple of The Vow.
Singapore is yet to release the movie but I have already watched it in Malaysia with one of my Twitter friends, Nana. We
literally cried till the end and it was a HUGE mistake to watch with a girl. Directed by Michael Sucsy and inspired by Kim and Krickitt’s story, which happened and took place at New Mexico in 1993. Ten weeks after their faithful wedding, the Carpenter couple involved in a tragic accident, which then Krickitt suffered from brain trauma and had then erased her romance with Kim. Despite losing her memory, Kim has never gave up and still in love with his wife. Their love story is then told in a book calledThe Vow, and now a hit movie.
Rachel McAdams as Paige and Channing Tatum as Leo - both involved in an accident. Paige loses her memory and when she wakes up from coma, she sees Leo as a doctor, which eventually makes Leo feels heartbroken. A few days later on, Paige’s parents come in and keep pushing Paige to come back home but Leo disagrees. Leo lets them hear a voicemail he received before the incident occurs and that is from Paige. She agrees to stay with him at “their” apartment and tries to adapt to her “new” life.
A lot of things happen when Paige stays in Leo’s apartment. Whatever happens, Leo still loves Paige as who she was because deep down in his heart, Paige is his wife. But what hurts the most is when Paige’s father asks him to sign the divorce paper and Jeremy (Paige’s ex-fiancé) tries to take Paige away from Leo. But you see, because they believe in Jesus and God, their love restart all over again.
I do not want to be a spoiler here. Because Singaporeans yet to watch it (hehehe). In true life, Kim and Krickitt remarried. If I am not mistaken, they remarried in 1997. Like seriously, this is such an amazing movie/story I have ever watched besides War Horse. Many were disappointed with the ending but come on, at least Paige has realized her mistake and decides to give Leo a second chance! We know what will happen eventually, right?

apology please :|
I’d watch from far away,
Though I couldn’t be close,
The words I see going across the page,
That I can’t reply to,
The words I want to say,
Simple in meaning,
But have a huge impact,
The words I want to say to you,
A close friend that vanished like air,
And I was frozen in stare,
I watched and waited,
To see if I could speak those words,
Those words I’d wish you’d accept,
These words are quiet simple,
But they mean a lot to me,
I’d hand them to you.
And pray you’d take them,
These simple words for you,
My friend

I’m sorry.

Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.
